Buddy Warren was a teacher at the Lovett Schools and needed something to do in the summertime. So he started a landscaping company, which was really not much more than Buddy Warren, his riding mower, and hedge clippers. Jake learned the landscaping business from his dad, often going with his dad to jobs and helping with cutting, trimming, and installations.  

After graduating from the University of Georgia in 2002, Jake took over the company from his dad and has built the company from the ground up. In 2018, Jake added a partner and the name of the company was changed to Jake Warren Landscapes (JWL). Jake currently lives with his wife and 3 boys in Smyrna.
